What things would you put in it? Only Rule: Must not be worth more than $30k.

Starting with all generations of Miata:

A Juke NISMO RS. It’s the red headed child of hot hatches, and werid enough to Oppo.

You’d have to have a section on the best comments in oppo/Jalopnik history. Such as:

We are putting the brown manual diesel wagon display across or down from the Miata display right?

Subaru Vivio RX-R, because rally capable kei car. Colin McRae drove one of these in the early days of his career.

Kinja'd!!!

Lotus Elan Sprint. It’s said that the best one in the world would be worth about $36k, so it’s probably not unlikely that a decent one could be found for under $30k. Also, in a sense, a spiritual predecessor to the Miata, including the NA’s hidden headlights.

Kinja'd!!!

1999 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI Tommi Makinen Edition

Kinja'd!!!

Plymouth Prowler: Would have to be a higher mileage example, because low mileage ones (under 20,000 miles) sell for a good bit over $30k, while ones with at least 40,000 on them can easily be picked up for under $25k...but if the trailer is included, mileage might not matter, it’ll be over $30k.

Kinja'd!!!

1990-93 Chevrolet 454SS - A short bed, regular cab C1500 with a 454ci V8 under the hood with 230hp and 385 lb-ft of torque. Basically, the GMC Syclone’s big brother.

1991-93 models are rarer, as 13,748 of the total 16,953 of them were 90's. 91-93s had 25 more horsepower, 20 more lb-ft of torque, a 4-speed automatic instead of the original 3-speed, dual exhaust, a rear-axle ratio of 4.10:1, and a tachometer. 1992-93 models were offered in Summit White and Victory Red as well, they’re likely the rarest of all 454SSs.

Examples can easily be found for under $30K.

Kinja'd!!!

Opel Meriva OPC: Spunky 178hp turbocharged mini MPV. I’m sure that in Europe, these can be found in the range equal to about $15-25k.

Probably takes the cake for the single most pointless, but somehow “serius bisniss” drama in Oppo history.

Right? We’ve had a few other pretty dumb moments (the massive drama around NSFW being banned comes to mind), but really, I think that’s the winner.

Post-facelift XJS coupe in black, because being bad never felt so good.

Kinja'd!!!

Minty fresh pillarless Chevelle sedan, because 4 doors need love too.

Kinja'd!!!

Cosworth Vega, because everything needs a chance.

Kinja'd!!!

C215 Mercedes-Benz CL55. Because pillarless coupes, like depreciation, are a hell of a drug.

Come to think of it, this might also be a list of some of the best automotive posteriors for under $30k.

NSFW is probably a distant second. Fiesta hatch vs. sedan was an argument I’d expect to find on VWVortex. (Though it was like WW1, fueled by many external factors on all sides)

Mazda MX-5 Miata Club (base price: $29,420) squeeks right in. And if there’s one thing that I know about Oppo and auto-journo, everyone always claims the “sweet spot” is just below the loaded model.
